Marco Polo sails from the London Cruise Terminal at Tilbury in Essex which is conveniently situated on the River Thames just 25 miles east of London and 7 miles from junction 31 of the M25.

Depending upon the date of departure, Ocean Countess sails from Tilbury, Hull, Newcastle, Edinburgh Leith, Greenock, Liverpool or Plymouth.

How to get to Tilbury

Marco Polo sails from the London Cruise Terminal at Tilbury in Essex which is situated on the River Thames just 25 miles east of London and 7 miles from junction 31 of the M25. Tilbury is highly accessible both by road and rail.

Long-term port parking

The Port of Tilbury offers pre-bookable long term car parking at £8 per vehicle per night £5.50 per vehicle per night for cruises of 26 nights or more). To reserve a car parking place at Tilbury, simply request at the time of booking and the cost will be added to your holiday. Full details will be sent with your final documentation. It should be noted that we act as agents only for car parking reservations and bookings are subject to the Port of Tilbury’s car parking conditions.

Special Cruise Coach Service between London and Tilbury

If you are travelling via London by coach or rail, or live in the London area, we operate a special coach service exclusively for Marco Polo passengers, between London Victoria Coach Station and the London Cruise Terminal at Tilbury at a cost of £20 per person return (£25 per person return for Winter 2010/11 and Spring/Summer 2011). To book this service, simply request at the time of booking and the cost will be added to your holiday. Full details will be sent with your final documentation.

Rail

There is a railway station at Tilbury Town and C2C operate a regular service from London Fenchurch Street Station. Tilbury Town is about one mile from the cruise terminal and taxis are available for the short transfer.

Stansted Cruise Coach Service

For those passengers travelling to London by air, Stansted airport offers the closest connection and the convenience of a new transfer service to the London Cruise Terminal at Tilbury. For further information and to book, visit www.port-to-port-coaches.com

Depending upon the date of departure, Ocean Countess sails from Tilbury, Hull, Newcastle, Leith, Greenock, Liverpool or Plymouth. Full details of how to get to your departure port together with port parking information will be detailed in the pre-sailing information sent around two months prior to sailing. On certain cruises Ocean Countess returns to a different port from that from which she sails, and on these occasions we offer free coach transfers between the port of disembarkation and the port of departure as follows:

Cruise from Tilbury to Hull and then return by coach to Tilbury

C009 North Cape & the Land of the Midnight Sun:
Coach transfer from Edinburgh/Leith to Newcastle and then cruise to Leith
Cruise from Newcastle to Leith and then return by coach to Newcastle

C013 British Isles Discovery:
Cruise from Leith to Greenock and then return by coach to Edinburgh/Leith

C019 Mini Cruise to Cork:
Cruise from Liverpool to Plymouth and then return by coach to Liverpool
